Excessive power application or poorly tuned suspension would result in understeer, not awd.

i think too much HP can be a hindrance in a mini, minis cant get a lot of grip

the good part would be is that 200awhp couldnt spin up all four wheels. so traction would be a problem.

I personally had an engineer come out and inspect a Mini Van of mine and he was prepared to sign off on an engineering certificate on it. Changing drive on a car from FWD to AWD can cause engineering and rego headaches with rules but it is possible, but would talke considerable time and money..

On the flipside the SR20 is a awesome motor even better on good boost. However the GTI-R's were potently fast, the handling was really unbalanced and had a really heavy front end that doesn't like to turn and their's very little weight over the rear. They never really caught on and were ummm Dissapointing just because of the poor handling

This would require you to extend panels in nearly every direction as the SR20's arent small motors and have a massive head in intake/exhaust on them...I would say that it would be too much effort to be worth a mini that doesn't handle well.

But good in a straight line :D

as a sidetrack the Starlet motors that everone has proved can fit pretty easily... they were made as AWD's in Japan and I would say would be a better option as engineering a 2lt into a mini would hard to impossible

If you like, though I'm happy for people to make up their own minds.
