thought about this today as i did a rather over enthusiastic slide in the austin 1300, while driving to the morris lowlight shed to drop off mini parts, his 3 greatest creations :D

Issy had a very bad time in Malta...as a displaced person after the bad guys took over the family factory in Smyrna they spent some time in camps where the Maltese failed to provide adequate food and shelter even tho they were paid to do so.

It is for this reason that the Tsigonias family (changed to Issigonis cos it sounded better!!) invoked their British connection and moved to the UK.
