eBay do sometimes pull items if they are fraudulent. If it was sold for it's "Buy It Now" price, we would still be able to view it. :?

Hey people, about a month and a half ago there was a 2004 model Toyota mr2 Spyder for a buy it now on ebay for $6,300. I emailed the seller, and here's my reply.

Hi there,

The car is still available for sale and ready to be shipped...
The price of the car is AU $6,300.00 and is in perfect condition! Maybe you are asking why I sell the car so cheap... because I need that amount of money fast... I need that money to pay for my new house (my last payment) or I will stay on the street.

Shipping will be done via Lufthansa Air Cargo from London, U.K. and it will take no more then 5 days. I will pay the shipping if you will support the money transfer taxes. When I will ship it, I will arrange for all the dutyes and that why you will not pay any customs when you will receive it and for this it will be delivered directly to your address. The car is still registered in Australia and is complied to all Australian standards. I didn't have time to register the car here (in UK), that why I decide sell it in Australia.

Also, you have nothing to worry about this deal because it will be done in a secure way. The most important thing in all my activities is that I am affiliated at eBay Square Trade and I have a purchase protection account for USD $20,000 and I assume you know what this means. How you are protected by Square Trade, in case we have a deal:

1) If you will not receive the car as I described to you, although this is not the case, Square Trade will refund you with 100% from the whole amount which you paid me. Even in case that you will not receive the car, they will refund you the money back.

2) You can send the money to my name and address but you will not give me the details from the payment. You will give the details to Square Trade. They will verify the payment and if is O.K. and the money are availble under my name they will notify me to procede with the shipping. After you receive and see that the car is the one you want, you just notify Square Trade to forward me the payment details in order for me to pick up the money.

Let me know if this is O.K. with you, so that we can go forward with this deal! About the payment Square Trade will manage in my place the financial details.

Best regards.

P.S. I need your full name and shipping address in order to contact Square Trade to start the deal.

This car was pulled from ebay after I got the message.
Interesting, no?

Must be a new scam! Hack into an existing user (with good feedback) account and list items very cheap??? Then fail to deliver and disappear with the $$$?

And people wonder why I don't trust internet trading. I am involved in karting and as soon as someone advertises a kart on a forum suc as this these sort of offers start rolling in. There was a reverse scam run on one of them and I will try and find the link and post it. It was run out of The US and the scammer was in London.

I found it. It is quite a long thread in a forum so takes a while to read.

hey harley....i email the guy a question about the stang and here's the response i got.....i think everyone will find it very interesting indeed

Hello,

The car is still available for sale and ready to be shipped.

I'm very glad that you like my car and I can only say that you have good taste about cars! This car was never crushed, droped or raced,no scathches,no dents and also it has a clear title. I took care of it like it was my own baby and now is in the same condition as it was when I bought it - even better!

The price isAU 8000$ including shipping to your home address.
Shipping will be done via Lufthansa Air Cargo from London,United Kingdom and it will take no more then 4 days for the car to arrive at the delivery location.I am in the Military and Lufthansa will manage me a low price for shipping and if you will pay the money transfer taxes,I will pay for the shipping fees.I will arrange for you not to pay any dutyes when the car will pass through customs. In this way the car can be delivered to your home address.

Also, you have nothing to worry about this deal because will be done it in a secure way.The most important thing in all my activities, is that I am affiliated at eBay Square Trade and I have a Purchase Protection Account for USD $20,000 and I assume you know what this means. If you did not hear about Square Trade here are their terms:

1) If you will not receive the car not as advertised,Square Trade will refund you the whole amount which you paid me(100 %).In case that you will not receive the car, they will refund you the money back from my account.

2) You can send the money to my name and address but you will not provide me the details of the payment. You will provide the details to Square Trade. They will verify the payment and if is ok,and the money are availble under my name they will notify me to procede with the shipping. After you receive and see that the car is the one you want, you just notify Square Trade to forward me the payment details in order for me to pick up my money.

Let me know if this is ok with you,so that we can go forward with this deal!About the payment Square Trade will manage in my place the financial details.
Regards!

p.s. If you have the money ready and you want to buy my baby I need your full name and shipping address in order to contact Square Trade to start the deal.

he's got pretty good english skills for a spaniard though  .........you'd think he would get thrown out of ebay for continuously posting rubbish like this. Oh, by the way, i asked him was if he could send me some photos of the build plate and any delivery documents he has.....he didn't even mention them, what a dumb arse

I have just sent a reply to "Kim"

Quote:
Hi Kim,

I have noticed that the ebay advert has gone missing, is something wrong? Because I still want the car.
Do you have any more photos of it?

Dan.

Lets see if I can string them along a bit!
