OK that Kit looks similar to other universal windows I have seen.

check out http://www.a1electric.com/colibri.htm
these guys have been around for a while (make decent kits)
and they have a nice range of switches

this site does Door poppers and Central locking kits too
but HINT if you want alarm connectevity think about that before you buy

theirs no reason why you couldn't do the conversion I just don't think it's that important

NOW if you want really nice kits check out the installation kits for flat glass windows for Hot rods in the US Their seriously nice bit expencive tho

I'll be doing power windows, remote central locking and alarm in my mini. No final details as yet as I'm just trying to get the shell painted first, then I'll start on the doors.

As yet, there were two possible ways I'm looking at doing the pwr windows, as I'm going to be removing the complete inner door skin (the part your door trim ataches to) and remaking with a sliding chanel like in a late model falcon etc, and a clamp system to the bottom of the glass, then using most parts from another car with power windows (motors etc). I'm remaking the inner skin for this and because I can better seal up the door for the sound system (better mid bass response). Just another option.

JAM, no offence, but some people want a Mini with all the luxuries, not just because its old and everything is outdated, hence why I'm going the lush interior, AC and stereo will be controlled by 7" touchscreen carpc.

So what if he buys/sells cars quickly... that's his choice. No reason for you to go bag him about it all the time and no reason for his question NOT to be taken seriously!

Come on , 666 might have bought and sold a few mini's in a short time but that's got to be all the more reason to help him with what he wants to know for getting this mini to the stage he wants so he keeps it .

Sorry Ian. I admire people who stick with something and give it their all. I don't see that happening here.

I know , but hopefully this time by starting with a better prospect for someone without garage facilities and mini knowledge he can stick with it . At least 666 hasn't kept funneling money into a lost cause like a lot of us have to keep trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear .

666 , don't let me down here , stick with this one , it's a great start for the mini you want and a damn sight better than the previous ones you had .
