I was bleedind the brakes on the weekend (all drums), and i started with the rears and got nothing (air or fluid) out of either but got heaps out of the front, yet the pedal still goes all the way to the floor and hardly pulls up, i did adjust them as much as possible but still no luck.

Please Help.

Cheers

Air lock or blockage in the back for some reason , have a look along the metal tubing and see if it's piched or crushed anywhere . loosen the bleed nipple at the back and leave it for a while and see if any fluid seeps through (make sure the master cylinder is full first) though it will take a while . You can help the process with a large syringe with some rubber tubing held on the end by a hose clamp or bound with tie wire and try to draw the fluid through from the back .

not sure if this is rite but i would do this
I also think thier is a blockage towards the read
release each of the connection till fluid comes out and you will find the problem.
could also be the connection that sits on the rear subby..cant rember whats called at the moment but it connects the front to the rear and diverts from the left to right rear.
normaly its not a problem

just a side note to all this what ever you do dont go crusing around town till this is fixed. makes lots of sense but i know someone who had blown a rear cylinder on anther make so they jacked it up took out put wheel on and thought i will just drive down and get the bits she be right. they ran into mates and drove around for the day till they went to brake at red light. went straight though as they had no hand bake either (works on back brakes) lucky no one in intersection very sheepish headed home and fixed the problem.

it may sound like common sense but you will find common sense isn't real common.

I'd say it could either be blocked rear hoses, blocked bleed holes in the rear cylinders (they are tiny and fill with crud) or else you are just standing on the pedal too hard, causing the limiting valve to block off the rears... been there, done this!

when I find a car like this I flush the whole system out with metho - let the fluid out through one of the bleeders, then just keep filling the master cylinder up with metho with the bleeders open (one at a time) till it runs out clean and pure metho, let it run dry then do the same with new brake fluid, starting at the left rear, then right rear, then left front and right front - gets everything nice and clean

When I change fluid I deliberately alternate different brands which have different colours, eg Castrol (clear) and Mobil (blue)- stop when the new colour comes through.

So should i flush it will all the bleed valves open with a container under them all or do one at a time, if so what order.

1 at a time, starting at back is the preferred method.
do each back then each front.

Don't just open all the bleed nipples...
BLEED them properly, 1 stroke at a time. When the new fluid is there, go on to the next one.
