Has nay one got one of these on there mini. I am looking at putting one on to try.

Do they work or are they a sales thing. I have been told that they increase power and give better fuel consumption.

Basically they are total BS. They were tested by the British Federation of Historic Vehicles on an A series motor. Severe valve seat recession resulted. No proof of any benefits over straight unleaded except for their own dodgy advertising. :x

The test at Brooklands track in the UK involved running a stock 998 Mini at full speed for 500 miles. The head was pulled for inspection before and after the test. The deal was, if any valve seat damage, the owner would get a new head fitted. Guess who got one..

Flashlube, don't use imitations!

Damn, we should be sponsored by flashlube, it gets enough air time on here!

I'm happy with my 12G295 modified for unleaded fuel and BP Ultimate or LRP in the tank.

No tipping little bottles in for me! :)

Gaf, the NSW distributors are about 1mile from you- in Powers Rd. Don Kyatt. Almost opposite Bearing Rd.

I don't have that luxury- the ex valves in mine are too freakin' big to fit inserts.. 8)
Barney's 1293 A+ has them in though!

Hehehehehe. I have inserts in my 1293. But I still run Flashlube(TM).

Runs clean and dry, just leaves some white residue on the plugs. Plugs are 10 000 k's old, and not a mark on em apart from that.

Well i am using moreys in mine and I do have harden seats too.

I have been using it for over 8 years and i have not had any trouble with it.
I use it in my Ford and the plugs stay spotles not a bit of carbon build up at all and the mini is not far behind that.

Moreys is just as good as flash lube/Lucas etc.
