All Australian built cars all had a clear lens with a dual fillament globe for the parking light and blinker.
The Poms used the amber lens, If you have amber lens you stick the parking light in the headlight.

Early Aus spec 850's had yellow lenses with parkers in the headlights.
As does my Traveller.

My parkers are both the indicator type (like supposed to be) and in head light, godbless the H4 lenses! 8) I've got it wired to my immobilser so i can press the button and make all the fornt lights flash, looks rather funny when people are looking at my car at night, gives them a shock!

BTW Hanra those tyres look very new! I know you don't drive it much but...wow. Anyways to keep your car like that you couldn't drive it but that's another thread altogether...

When I moved to QLD I had to put on clear lenses to pass rego as the amber ones are illegal. In NSW amber parkers/indicators were fine.

Hi Guys
I realise Hanra's question relates to Australia but there is an interesting detail here as far as New Zealand goes. Apparently, English assembled cars were modified here and a another wire, dual filament bulb and holder were fitted and the park light was removed from the headlight. Officially, the amber lens was to have been replaced with a clear one but it seems many weren't. Could this situation have been the same in Oz?

As a footnote, the question why comes to mind. There were many cars here with parklights within the headlight and there was never any problem with compliance back then. It's a bit of a mystery!

Regards
Al
