I am flying down on Friday morning to Mebourne for the weekend. I want to have a look at a few retail outlets that sell Mini bits and pieces. Not a whole lot in Newie!

Can you give me the address of a few shops selling a variety of Mini stuff. I would like to see something real for a change, instead of just looking at pictures on E-bay.

Looking forward to my trip with your help.

Alf :?

NMP in Heidelberg is a great place to visit... they have just about everything an just about all on display in the showroom. Be warned though Andrew loves a chat!! I have heard people speak ill of this shop but I reckon its great. Also A Grade Panels is just around the corner (within 500 meters or so) less stock but great guy. Might pay to phone around and find out what time all the shops close as some are MILES away in all directions!

Cheers, bryan

Thanks everyone, you have been a great help. Another good example about owning a Mini, everyone is willing to help one another out.

Many thanks again. :D :D :D :D

I have my own personal reasons for not going to NMP, and I won't discuss them here, but he does have a good supply of parts to add to your Mini that will be well worth looking at if you're from interstate. Just watch out though because he gets most of them from the UK so be aware that some of the bits he stocks won't fit a locally produced Mini.

Link is good if you're into performance bits

A-Grade is building up a good stock of replacement parts and panels, but he only opens mon-fri.

What part of Melbournes you staying in? There are a few others around worth dropping into if you're local but maybe not worth a long trip to.

I am staying in a Hotel a couple of blocks from the city centre. Cannot remember the name at the moment.

However, I am hiring a car for Friday and Saturday. Anything you can add to my weekend I will value greatly.

Unfortunately I'm busy this weekend with 2 lots of relos from QLD and WA plus a CV that started making clunking noises last night, but maybe someone else may offer to meet up with you and may go for a drive.

Maybe you could drive down to Geelong (past the squillion speed cameras so watch out) to see THE Poeee and gang, and maybe experience some of the Great Ocean Road while you're down that way. (try and talk the rental agency into something that is a little more fun to drive  )

When you're in a rental car there is no faster thing on the road.
