Welcome to Ausmini. Lots of friendly people around here and you'll get a answer pretty quickly. Good luck finding a mini, they're addictive - you just can't stop once you've started a project!

G'Day,
My names Jared, I joined ausmini bout a month ago, cant beleive i never bothered to join before!! Can I just say that this site is like a huge sponge of mini info! I've been doing things the hard way and been trying to work out my own problems!! dam you Mr Lucas!! I own a 74 clubman 1100 S, ive had it for like 7 years, ive owned a 78 998 cluby and a moke! ,Im a apprentice diesel mechanic so ive rebuilt everything my self,
My mini is Hairy Lime with black Racing stripes, its got cooper S disk brakes, braded steel brake lines, hi-lows, nolethane bushes, camber kit, the motor is was a 1100 , but it broke all its compresion rings, so I rebuilt it. Its now has a ballenced 998 crank that i gotcheap! (the 1100 one has stuffed!!), 60 thou rebore flat top acl pistons, Hot cam, double row timing chain, ported head with biger valves, Cooper S rockers, 2 inch extractors, breathing through a 40mm DHLA Dellorto, It use to have a massive audio system, even a 15inch 2000w sub, But its all gone now, because nothing could outsound the harmonious sound of the engine a full flight! love it!!!
My next project is to build and install my metro turbo engine, got all the english performance bits, its almost 10g worth of devil A-series..........Look out all you turbo, non mini engine people, this is something to get worried about!!!

Welcome Jared....look forward to seeing your A+ dyno sheets :!:

Can I suggest you take your proposed build sheet to North Rocks and have a chat to Graeme Russell...he may suggest a different approach or at least let you know what he thinks....Cheers, Mick

G'day all!

Spose I should mention myself here...

Aaron, from the general Frankston/Cranbourne area. Hail from Tassie originally.

Love mini's, never owned one, never driven one, got a ride once, and loved every second!

I was on the old forums, but didn't talk much. I posted a celica I bought just before she went down...

Welcome suffolk. There are lots of people on here that can help you out. Your best bet would be putting a thread in the "Wanted" section. A good 12G295 head will set you back a bit compared to other mini heads (eg 12G202).

Hi all,

It's Ben here from Sydney.

Just joined today and currently own a 1969 Minimatic for about 16 days.

Have been working in Woolies during uni time and properly started working last year at Hyro and Downer EDI since graduated.

Going to working at Computer Science Corporation (www.csc.com) (www.csc.com.au) as a grad programmer/software engineer soon. Hope it will be a new and exciting job.

Addicted to Mini near the end of last year and have loved it since. Dunno how long this addiction will last on for ...

Welcome Ben,

Good to have you here. Please put some pics up in the members section so the rest of us can see your mini as well! One thing to remember is ask questions - it can really speed up doing something - there are so many knowledgeable people on here that will answer your question quickly - no matter how silly you may think it is!

I hope you enjoy your time here - ausmini.com is very addictive!

G'day I'm Ash
I live in ballarat and have a 1972 Clubman billy cart, it once was a car, for 1 month until the engine imploded on itself  But it will a be a little beast when i get the donk back. It will be an 1100 and a bit with a big bore exhaust, lumpy cam (can't remember the specs at the moment) all Bosch electrics (no lucas prince of darkness for me). I spent about 3 years building this beautiful car, all the interior was done done by myself, with help from my dad. But the number plates are the best part of it BRMMM 8)
