I've been advised that replacing 1/4 vemt window rubbers with new rubbers is a waste of time - cause they just pull out of their channel the first time you close them... :?

Does anybody have any tips on how to make the rubbers stay put??

yes, like all rubbers, a PITA. I will be using silastic to fix mine next time round,( in the bottom channel which should also help waterproofing). I think the trick is to adjust the nuts correctly on the quarter vent spindle so that they are not too tight and the 1/4 vent frame does not bind on the bottom rubber. From memory, the drama arises when the assembly is put back in the door-seems to work fine out of the door! Maybe its a problem with the reproduced seals, not manufactured to the correct specs as per the original SARM ones.

Yeah, i replaced my quarter vent rubbers, and your right they do try n pull them selves out of the frame. But with the placement of my bullet rear view mirrors, I cant open them anyways.....
