Anyone have any ideas on opening a bonnet that really doesn't want to open?

I push the release gidget across to the left as far as it goes, but the bonnet just refuses to 'pop'.

Push down on the bonnet and wiggle it while holding the catch lever.

I've been pushing and wiggling for ages but it just won't budge. I'll go try again. This time I might employ some child labour, time he earnt his pocket money for the week anyway.

If my wiggling skills aren't up to scratch can you suggest anything else?

Child labour wins through! Now time to adjust the bonnet I think.

Just got in from the garage with it off. It's strange, when it's closed you can't get it open and when it open you can't close it :?

Has the return spring come off or loose?, another option might be to check the bonnet lock bolts haven't loosened up and slid over too. Like the other guys mention might need to adjust the bonnet bump rubbers and/or grease the latch.
