I've just bought another one! A NZ assembled standard model '65 Austin Mini, a genuine 25K on the clock and one lady owner. It is covered in surface rust but very tidy. The plan is to do a respray on the outside only and preserve as much of the original paint as I can. It runs sooo sweet and drives as well as it sounds. I have some pics, would someone like to put them up on the board for all to see?

Al

 . Ummm can't find the words....

That is great! For an original, unrostered car of course, but still, an exterior and engine bay tidy up (de-rust and respray) will make it as it was back then. Finding a well-kept interior like that, and low miles is amazing.

The interior is the real gem about the car. Jed might post a couple of pics I took in the front, showing the seats and carpets. The headling has no glue staining at all and is nice and white. It is hard to describe it but it has that old car smell, nothing else smalls quite that way!

What a fabulous find  Check the window security and the door openers  Congratulations on this find, an original 1965, Mini 850. Worth heaps. Was it built in Australia?

Hi PM,
The car was NZ assembled from English CKD parts but with some NZ componentry. Did I say before, the colour is Bermuda Blue?
