Hi all,

I got a 1971 Mini Clubman. It's brown. Chocolate brown. The Cadbury chocolate sort of colour. It is original paint. Actually, it has never been repainted. Still shinny too.

My question is; what is the name for this colour?

I did a search, like you all say to do to people who ask dumb questions, and I looked on www.elevenhundred.com and www.ozcooper.com.au like you always say to do, and I found Bronze Beige 12971. Tis was apparently used in 1971.

Does anyone know if that colour is a chocolate brown colour?

Thanks.

Oh Fudge would of been my first guess. but not sure when that colour first come out. I think that it's a later Clubman colour, but may be wrong.

The problem you have with looking at colours on your computer screen is that every screen will be different. I'm sitting with two screens here and i've got the same mini picture on both. On one, the car looks like it's a chocolate colour, on the other, well anyone with a small baby will recognise that colour!

I reckon you'd either have to see some in the flesh (metal even) or find out if anyone on here has a register of colours :?:

Good luck, and i hope your car colour looks more like chocolate than poo!

My Morris 850 does...Nurburg White. But my yellow Clubby doesn't say anything. Apparantly it's supoosed to have a sticker which tells you but something must have happened to it, either it fell off or the PO couldn't be bothered getting a new one after the restoration.
