Anyone interested in organising a night at Western Sydney Internation Dragway for a mini grudge match. It's a great fun night and will be a good chance to claim some serious bragging rights. I think two categories, Hybrids / Turbos minis and standard A series minis.

Your thoughts?

You would have o run it over 2 days , most top fuelers do the run in 6 secs or less, and most of ours would be 30-40 secs or less! Not a bad idea though

Cheers

Aaron

Oh well Aaron you dont have to turn up if you dont like.

I would probably be able to get my mini down the strip 10 seconds quicker than a junior dragster, does that mean the junior dragsters should not turn up? or is it a bit silly comparing Top fuelers to minis.

As I said, it's a great fun night.

Unfortunatly not, would certainly give some good front end grip, just dont try and turn any corners.

I think if we get a group of 10 minis it would be great fun.

I'm thinking my 1380, Your GT Starlet, Chris' GTi, Kevs 1310, Grants Turbo beast, Talk James into comming down, Dean needs to blow the cobwebs out of his new toy and after seeing some of the cars that turned up for the Warragambah would be great.

yep should be able to get a few of us down there, only need $45, a helmet, long sleeve shirt, and pants. Sometimes they check to see if your batterys tied down, also may need a little blue triangle on the boot (bit of contact will do).

If you get there early between 3pm-4pm you will get a heap of runs in between 5pm-6pm. Some guys got 6 runs in the hour, some got 10 in 2 hours.

Hey chris i never said that i wouldn't turn up, as a matter of fact i said it was a good idea. If you can't see humour in my first comment... i mean really. I had thought it was pretty obvious that i was kidding around but hey, whatever.

That sounds like a good idea Brad, That's great value when you compare it to lts say a Hill climb. I went to one at Huntley last week and each run took25 - 30 secs and for $70.00 O think they got 5 - 6 runs all day 9:30am - 4pm just lots of sitting around.

Do you think I will need a chute?

What nights is it on Brad?

chute, hahahaha i think some of us would be lucky to make the sand trap without braking down.

Its on every wednesday, opens at 3pm, racing starts at 5pm till 10pm.

I may have to put my mini on a diet, it was weighed for engineering and was over 740kg with no fuel or driver

You get there at say 4pm. Fill out a form, pay your cash. Then car goes into a line for scrutineering, they check it has rego, your helmet, make sure nothing is going to fall out, belts work, no nitros, seats are secure, check engineers report if you have conversion.

Then when you go through that you jump in the racing line. By this time it will be close to 5pm and there could be already 50-100 cars ready to go. If you get there around 5pm you will not see the track until after 6pm and there will be 200 cars by then.

Most racers turn up around 5:30-6:30 so if you get in early you will have a heap of runs before most even see the track.

Damn, you really think you're gonna get 10 Mini's through scrutineering?? I want photee's of ten Mini's on one day that arent leaking oil. Must be some kind of recored :P :P :P

I remember when I had my old Monaro refused scrutineering coz one of the rocker covers had oozed a litle. Hadnt even been running down the head.
