Bloody common Clubbie part- must be thousands lying about. I got some in Sydney but someone must be closer to you.
 Weld the bastard up- then it won't break again! (too true..)

Well before I take it somewhere to get welded, I better decide which is a better option before the ebay auction ends (might not have one up again for weeks, who knows).

So weld or new?

I'd weld it.
It will be stiffer after welding- less likely to flex and break.

If the bracket is cracked, yes take it out.
If the body crossmember is cracked (common) you have to weld that in there. I would take the carb and outlet line off the fuel pump, put a short bit of hose on the pump with a bolt in it to seal.
And put some sheet metal below where you are welding, above pump- so you don't drop sparks in there.

might also be worth your while to put a 3-5mm sandwich plate on the other side of the crosmember to spread the load from the engine steady better and strenghten the panel coz the metal there is very thin and prone to cracking.

Better yet do as Bnicho suggests- fit another pedal box in there.. it's got studs in it already.

I must have at least two of these lying around. Every clubby from 74 on has one.

Poeee, try Macwreck.
