I haven't got 6000 out of my Mabor's yet. Hehe, that puts it into perspective. After the Mabors are fully dead (another 500 k's left) that'll make around 6000 total. And I did rotate them! I'll put the Formula R's on and we'll see how long they go for. After that I'm going Falken or Bridestone I reckon.

I reckon having a set of wheels for the raod with cheaper tyres that alst a while and a set for the track is best. I found the limits if the "Mabor's" on the first lap up Collingrove Hillclimb. First off the wheelspin was terrible on take off, and on the first corner which was the fastest quick turn, I lsot the rear and skidded out a bit. But as long as the front stays sticking your alright.

I've had that happen with A539's on front, Falkens on rear. Don't wanna know what it'd be like with A048's on the front.

Thanks for the replys, I've finally made up my mind and have ordered a set of 12x5 performance alloys and the last A539's from minisport.

These will hopefully fill out the arches a little. Those AO48R's look great and (maybe next time) they were just a little too much and really the yokos will probably do me to drive round mandurah in.

The Yokohama Performance Centre in Willetton does have 2 A539's left if anyone needs some in the west and he didn't believe me when I told him there were no more until he checked.

cheers Glen

What should be used instead?

I think I'll both some local tyre centres that my dad got his for his car from. And might see if I can buy a set for storage, although I have heard tyres go off in storage...??

But should be used instead? Falkens? Bridestones? Anything else?
