Hi all, I've been told my mini is likely a mini K, although i was originally under the impression of it being a mini deluxe... How do i tell them apart? what changes are there?

1100 engine, round badge at the front, rear badges. I think Deluxe's had the old style indicator stalk, whereas the Mini K had the Clubman style one.

As is normal, my engine number is not listed. 9Y/Sa/H for an Australian built 998 Cooper.

Hey slinkey

Ta, I have seen this list before but have found a few "errors" on it. Look at the body numbers for Mini K, mine is YG2S1 but not mentioned on there!!

Dunno who you would have to contact to add your number to it...?

It's been on the Hotbricks site for as long as I've been a member (2 years) but I reckon it's been on there for the life of the site.

Possibly we should make a list on here and make it a sticky? (Hint hint Poeee!) there are enough 'experts' on here to help out. Eg. Dr Mini, Graham in Aus, Watto, and many individuals who know their model, eg. Sunshine, Cooper S and stuff.

I don't know what spec the K van was, fron the engine number it must have had the long gearchange not the remote.
Ta = Std ratio, Remote centre change.
U = ? (probably Under dash.) All Long sticks have a U.

J = Van :wink:
