You are best to anser this question.

Did you need to cut your wheel arches to fir your 13 inch wheels? How much for the flares?

To fit 13x6's i had to take a fair bit of metal of the front guards. see crappy pic.

The red line is what i had to cut. I didnt have a templete i just put wheel on and looked to see what was going to hit and cut it. all gets covered by the flare anyway.

The rears dont have to be cut at all.

Well after reading this thread and the other "Lesbians drive minis" thread, I have decided that Santa will be bringing me 12" performance mini with Yokkie A539 low profile tyres the same as I had on my last mini. I think the Superlites are the best option for me.

I'm also thinking of taking off my flares and painting them white - what do you think?

Paint em white, they'll look schmick 8)

Also, who did your bonnet stripes? I'm looking at getting some EXACTLY like that... measurements would be great
I was thinking trying a signwriter for the vinyl... they are vinyl right?

Thanks.

Ok Big willy ya ready for this?

I went to Franklins, bought one roll of white contact, folded it in half, stuck each to the bonnet and then used a blade to cut top and bottom to size.

Now, I bit of advice if you are going to try this. When applying large ninyl stickers to your car spray the back of the sticker with soapy water and teh area on the car. Place the stocker on car, slide into place, then using a squeegie squeeze water out from underneath stickers working from the centre out.

If you use my cheapo meathod contact takes about three to four days to finally stick properly so put a bit of clear tape around the edges.

One last thing. Over Christams I am going to send my car to the paint shop and have full length white stripes painted on from underneath front bumper up to windcreen and then down the back. If I have the money I'm getting the rear end de seamed.

My grand plan is to race the car in the U2L Improved Production Car Championship in 2005 there are already a couple of minis and its a great categorie. To do this I need to run the A032R control tyre. They only make them for 10 inch rims so they will bcome my race wheels. It's really funny whe you are used to seeing your car on 12" wheels them you change nack to the 10" makes the car look like a forklift.
Sorry, got off the subject, I'll be hanging onto them.
