Im on my 2nd attempt at the Honda Disc Brake conversion.... The 1st lot of rotors and calipers ended up in the bin, cause they didnt seem to fit with my 12in Superlites... But im gunna give it another go. The 1st lot of stuff i bought from a local wreckers here for $100, that was 2 rotors n 2 calipers.

I rang around yesterday, n the only local wreckers that had the bits want $44 ea per rotor and $55 ea per caliper. So just under $200 for 2nd parts off a wrecked 85 Civic.

I got a price on brand new RDA rotors 2day, $41 ea..... Im just waiting for them to get back to me on calipers....

Wat a rip, $44 for 2nd hand or $41 for brand new....

Will they be safe tho?

Will you be driving it on the road to 'test' their safety?

Hate to see all that money go to waste over some bits from a Honda

Well i dont know if they will b safe? I mite take the car out 1 day for a drive? Who cares its only money!!!

Thats like having a go at me for putting 3 point racing harneses in the car, maybe i should of just kept the 40yr old belts in it? My harnesses have FIA approval for racing but no ADR compliance. SO the car is now illegal for having safer seat belts in it...... All because i cant get them engineer approved.

Is that what you were doing when you rolled your car? Testing its safety?

Yes, you would much prefer to see it come about by driver error

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

A properly fitted FIA harness will hold you tight in your seat. How do you reach the switches on the centre consul?

Good luck with the brakes, I found mine in the mitsu parts bin and they worked a treat
