well, i just cleaned the underside of the engine with degreaser and water, and since this its not even making a noise....

My guess... electrical. Did you blast under there with water or just wash it with a cloth or something? Could have broken any old wires, terminals come off etc.. Also water in the alternator or start motor can seize the bearings.. But that would usually make a screeching sound..
