Hi all, I have done a search, is turps or petrol the best for getting the black sealant crap off the firewall. :?: :?:

I used a paint scraper, flat blade screwdriver, wire wheel on drill, then petrol.

i used a big chisel on mine, gets it off nicely,
but dont get excidet and scratch the metal and that
just nice and gentle and it comes off real easy.
and then petrol...

you wouldnt believe it, but some guys in japan that build drag cars actually use dry ice to freeze it then it just chips off.

doesent petrol leave a sllight oily residue on the surface. I not to sure if it does or not.

I would pefer to use turps of thinners, but do no get thinners on plastic as it softens it very fast.

Why not some liquid nitrogen like the Droctors use to burn off skin cancers Cleaner than using all that petrol and stuff
