not all GT nobs look like that scottt.

Early ones were black with the gt on top. looked like this

The top badge was actually a 3d look.

note that the actual shape of the knob is different to the brown clubby shape also.

I believe that the knob changed to the brown shape, around the same time that clubmans for the brown knob (the early clubbies had a rounded gearknob like that of the K)

Depends if you want a common cooper s that the numbers keep increasing of somehow or something rarer .... Doesn't matter though Al , none of them would have made it here (or at least not for several more years ....)if it wasn't for the sports850 :D

Mr aslminik..... I think this wise man is either not very wise or he owned a Cooper S ! IMO a GT is more sought after and Precious than a Cooper S any day. Not so many of them around.

get a standard leyland gearknob, remove the insert and get a GT one made up to take its place.
screw paying $300 for one in crappy condition
