Probably never , they are being paid to do it much the same as the call centers that ring you at dinner time .... You can't do anything to the ISP because the IP's are always unique and done through a proxy server (the type you use to view youtube on school computers etc ...) so even though the message and link is identical to the last 12 spammers they are all from an unused and different IP address and always in a different country to the Russian or Eastern European email address that rejects emails (already tried spamming them back ....) . They are real people doing it and not spambots as well so unles we go to a system of every person joining having to be approved before posting (would be a major pain in the ass )then we're stuck with them .

At first I thought this poll was going to be about roundy owners giving clubby owners a hard time. :D

Another forum I'm on has a neat way of dealing with these things. When you sign up you are only allowed one post in the Introductions forum. After a Mod reads your intro, you are only then given full access. I know some can STILL slip through, but only the REALLY COMMITTED scumbags bother and there's not much you can do to stop them. 8)

I think that's a good idea but some people wouldn't like it as they want to ask questions immediately. Although it would be easier if all their posts were contained in one single area.

When i get a phone call that has a definate delay and then a distant heavily accented voice that starts off telling me they are ringing from North Sydney I immediately tell them I am not going to discuss anything with them until the can decribe what they see out the window - instant evasion or deathly silence. Either way I hang up.

The local ones who proudly boast that they are from XYZ in a broad australian accent (usually kiwi or irish though) just simply get a broad australian based "" '' off" before I hang up

These real people spamming are the same boat but frustratingly we have to deal with them in the same way - that is; as soon as we realise what they are then its good bye babe.

I thought this thread was gonna be about people bragging about their '1380's or whatever being able to beat a V6 Commodore or a Bini S, or simliar LOL.

Well the Mods are doing a great job here and in no means should members here do anything but thanks and shake their hands. I added this poll purely to see if the level of frustration i have for these plebes is the same as others. Being a Mod myself elsewhere for 5 years I have dealt with this kind of thing and plenty other types of intrusion. I don't anyone will ever understand the small mentality these people have or understand the enjoyment factor, its really a waste of time.

No.

I seriously thought that that was what this thread was about. Many threads have been about that recently.

I have a laugh about it when they post. I do get annoyed when I try to find a member so as to view their profile. Usually my mind thinks, scroll through the members list, but it takes way too long, becuase of the number of spammers on there. (I was going by location, and there were alot of pages from the USA). it was then that I decided to search posts that the person would have posted in.

On the other hand I like to look down at the number of people on this forum and think, wow, look how many people are in this community and share a love of minis. only to then realise that half of them are selling debt evasion sex toys.
