Just bought a 1275 LS with disk brakes. Painted red with the red velour interior. Engine and brakes are going straight into my californian moke. ( Hopefully before the trip to victor next saturday). Engine runs sweet with twin 1.5 su's and an oil cooler. It also has 6 speaker CD player, Immobilizer, alarm, central locking. Paint work is crap with a big dent in the front right fender, and a couple of small dents in the back.

How much you ask? 1600 dollars, with three months reg. Plan is to wack the 1000cc from my moke in her, fix a couple of dents, and make a small profit.

Steve.

Stevo... this was in the trader right? I saw the pics on the website.
 You got a holy moly deal with 1275, dics, etc

Edit: Do you reckon it would be too hard to get the central locking bits out? Everyone asks me "why don't u put central locking in it" and i'm like- "Oh can't be arsed really" 8)

Sure was! The motor sounds sweet, hell powerful (twin 1.5SU's), no smoke at all. Definately make money on it, even with a 1000 cc in there! Only needs a bit of panel beating.
Steve.

It has the 12 inch LS wheels and lowish profile tyres, three with good tread, one a bit scrubbed. I need to keep them on there as if I put 10 inch on I will have to change the gearbox from the 1000 cc motor that I will putting in there (coming from a 13 inch wheel moke).

Dont know anything about the central locking Big willy!

Keep me posted if you decide to take out the central locking - because you could make 50 bux from me, that you wouldnt make from having it in there or not... ya get me? 8)

Well it sound like a nice find But why not fix it and keep it as a 1275 LS as there is not to many of them around that I know of. But hey there may be more around down your way.

I think it may be a rebirth, as it has everything from an LS , motor wheels, brakes, seats gauges ect, but either someone has done a bodgy with the paint or stuck all the gear into a 78 clubman body. I will find out when I pick it up tomorrow.

Car has been extremely modified on the dash, and dosent really look like an LS, which is why I would rather make my 1000cc californian moke into a much better 1275cc californian moke!. Body needs work , but I will sell with (LS) with 1000cc motor in a couple of weeks. Have been looking for a motor and disk brakes for the right price in adelaide for a while.

Sorry to any clubman LS lovers, but my moke comes first!! (lol)
