Hi all,

I was just wondering what that fam valve thing did thats located on the firewall that splits the lines from the Duel MC and if was needed I read somewhere that it didnt do much on the braking side of things is that right.

Could i just use some sort of spliter or something??.

Also was looking through some pics of some mini brake line setups and noticed some had 2 lines going to the back would this improve the braking much?? or would this cause the rear brakes to lock up.

It's supposed to balance the pressure between the front and rear circuits, but keeps the fluid separate. Every one of them I've pulled apart (they can't be fixed apparently) has been rusted solid. This means unless one circuit fails it musn't move.

I would have a chat to a brake specialist, maybe you can use a new one off another car. I don't know the legalities of not running it so best to check.

The braking circuit is a closed pressure system, running more lines only means more connections to leak I reckon.

Regards

Daniel
