Go the clubby - its already been butchered and you said yourself - it'll be a stronger shell.

thanks for the comments guys.... still undecided

Ryan, my '66 van is a roundie...

Dan, if I use a clubman sedan, it'll get a round front and early tail lights, nothing flash like yours

I reckon if I do a sedan, it'll be Camino Gold like my cooper.... or Shadow Blue like the original colour of the van. It'll be a classic looking car, 10" wheels, hopefully no flares etc.

sigh.... doing the van will always be more work, but I do really like it...

not sure what I'd do with my van if I didn't use it tho :?

Wrap it up and keep it in the shed as your retirement fund , be worth more than a cooper s before too long the way vans are going ...

unfortunately shed space at my house is at a premium :(

but if someone buys my dad's mini K (in Ballarat, in for sales) I can put my van back there!

my wife says I can't keep the van if I get another shell, so I guess I'm gonna stick with the van, cos I'm not selling it...

The early smooth roof vans were a little weak.....but you know how to strengthen a van  ...the extra length would make driveshaft fitment a little easier.

I say go with the van....nobody will expect that funny little van to go like shyte off a shovel  :D

dunno how 2" more room is really gonna make any difference to the tailshaft, but still :)

I'll have to buy shares in whoever makes chrome moly tubing.... for the amount I'll have to buy for a decent cage
