Whilst on holidays I came across this old warrior which seemed to be permanently parked outside the resort I stayed at.

A couple of things intrigued me, the newer style dash and the Peugeot service badge.

French cars very prominent over their due to their involvement during the war (Dien Bien Phu, Foreign Legion etc). Probably explains the Pug sticker.

I went to Ho Chi Minh city first, then to Mui Ne (about 200 kms or 4 hours drive from HCM city).

The French influence is everywhere due to their colonial past, and I'm guessing that Peugeot delivered / serviced the moke in Vietnam.

what really intigues me is why you would need a Fan in a moke????
I used to have one and as I recall there is plenty of ventilation!!

Maybe to disperse the exhaust fumes coming thru the rust holes in the floor

Very interesting!!

Dash cluster and steering wheel look Japanese to me.

Body looks like a little wheeler with lots of mods.

Flat rear end but has the raised pressings on the side boes and a small filler on the top. It also has the removable grille.

Maybe Cagiva or Portugese made with lots of customisation?

Might even be a replica?
