Just reiterates how I feel about Ebay. In NZ, we have
Trade Me, which is a quantum leap in usability above Ebay. It has a Question & Answer facility which is able to be seen by anyone, so you could ask the seller if they are aware they're LHS tanks for example. The question isn't viewable unless the seller answers or the auction finishes, but it means that trades are a lot more honest. Also the layout is much better and easier to follow.
Trade Me makes up 50% of ALL domestic internet traffic in NZ. I've sold a motorbike, two Macs, and bought and sold loads more. I've got the listings for Mini parts on a keyboard macro, which allowed me to buy a full set of Dunlop mags and good tyres for NZ$220 - I bought them 10 minutes after they were listed. I found out later they need spacers/spaced drums, but that's still okay.
