just thinking the other day that cars mnufactured after 1987??? (not sure)

legaly need at cat fitted,

to u need to fit a cat to a swift gti transplant, or others, like the starlet and vtecs???

just got me thinking!

My understanidng was that you always comply to the ADR's for the year of manufacture for the car, not the motor.

Prolly best wait for one of the already converted boys to comment though. Brad?

it all goes on the engine thats in the car not the car when you do a conversion. So mine being a 1994 engine needs a cat. Not a big problem, you can get really skinny cats (also there highflowed) that fit where the old gear shifter use to enter the cabin.
