I have killed 4or 5 minis over the years[ when they were cheap and plentiful] only one had revenge, the flywheel and clutch exploded and came thru firewall. could have something to do with the amount of metal machined off it.

Location: hoxton park, sydney a place where our council bins are so small you couldn't bath a baby in them!!
one day many years ago when i was fairly young er about 8 my father had this run down 1972 clubby and we were going along on this fairly smooth road untill we heard a slight kocking sound for a few seconds we started to slow down to go over a small speed hump and bang the front left side lower swivel pin thingo sheared off/rusted off
and left the wheel poking outwards at the bottom and the inwards at the top and the bottom of the car on the ground ,not to worry we were only 2 mins walk from the house so my dad walked home picked up a jack a few tools and another dodgy swivel pin and we were on our way again within 30 mins and a fair bit of swearing
