Slightly OT, but we had a '62 850 once which got a 1098 transplant courtesy of a '78 clubbie that I .. err .. crashed.. only the floorpan in the 850 wasn't exactly designed to take a rod-change gearshift, an exhaust *and* a starter button.
I can't remember the number of times the battery lead on the starter button blew holes in the exhaust.. that thing was perpetually patched with Coke cans and hose clamps...

the exhaust on the starter terminals will also short the battery and all the electrics will die. Make sure you have enough clearance, which may require a custom exhaust pipe rather than an off the shelf one designed for a rod change or remote change car.
