Say I had a set of S discs...this would include two calipers that are painted black and have been refitted with all new parts ready to use..not including pads....a set of 7.5" discs that are in fine condition as far as I know but are a little rusty around the edges and the flange thingo for the discs as well. Doesn't include the swivel hub. Ok so what I want to know is if I was thinking about selling these how much is a rough sorta price? Can't think of anything else that comes with them so a price for calipers and discs would be great, thanks

Another question, whats the difference between S discs and GT discs? and no its not related to the above set of discs, I have always just wanted to know.

Yeah but is that with swivel (sp) hubs? They are in mint condition as far as I know. The only thing that I can see that is a little dodgy is the very edge of the discs is a little rusty. The discs aren't the expensive part as far as I know though.

So whats a rough price for metro turbo discs and calipers? Also can you buy new discs to replace the metro ones? eg. grooved and drilled vented ones?

Well you can buy NEW discs for about $90 ea.. (Chinese ones.....)
Calipers, about $300ea New (If you can find them......)
The expensive bit IS the swivel hub....

I'd say, in the condition you suggest....

About $400-450 ish ? TOPS ......with the introduction of the "Honda Conversion" "S" Disc prices are going to drop methinks.....

AFAIK the "S" and GT disc setups are the same.. different caliper part numbers, but i think that was just the BMC/Leyland changover.....

Cheers
J

yep around $400-$500 if in good condition. Disc brake hubs can not be found anywhere trust me, i looked for a year. I did end up getting some second hand ones for $250, but i have since been told karcraft have new ones in stock less then that

send them off an email, get the hubs, complete the setup and then advertise for $1000. Will sell in a day.

I have the swivel hubs already, I got them as a complete set but now since I want the metro turbo gear I want to get rid of the rest and keep the swivel hubs, after all they use the same hubs don't they? Either way for that sort of cash I might just hold onto them and whack them on my old mans mini if and when sum hubs come along.

If you guys unearth any 997 or 998 Cooper swivel hubs, they are the same as S. Just pull out calipers CVs drive flanges etc and bolt S parts in there. With Timken roller bearings, of course.. 8)

Yeah I agree, it's the swivel hubs that are the money, not the rest of the gear...
