Hi all,
I attended another RACV call this afternoon and the people I helped out offloaded an old mini their kids no longer used as the farm thrasher.
I just got it off the tow truck and had a decent look, and it seems to be a Mini K.
Build date is March 1971, interior is all black, has the usual K facia and it has kidney bean mags with new tyres on it. Unfortunately it has been painted with house paint, but surprisingly there is very little rust.
Now the question I have is did the K have the round Morris badge on the bonnett? And did they also have clubman tail lights? This has those. I haven't looked under it but what sort of gearbox do they have? Remote change or rod change? Hydro appears to be in perfect nick too. Can't really complain for another freebie rescued off a farm. Compared to the Clubbie I rescued a couple of months ago this thing is like new...lol
I shall display pics tomorrow. Here are a couple of pics of the heap that was my engine donor.
EDIT: Here are the pics of the beast. I didn't think the K had the round badge on the bonnett either.

I thought Ks were roundies only?
It would appear to me to be a morris clubman.

Yeah I guess I should have changed the topic to yet more minis. I didn't have pics, but when you see the K you will easily see why the clubman will be dumped into a channel shortly. heh.

Indeed.
Morris Clubman.

No K badges on any Squaries.

Should have remote, and hydro.

No, first impression is I am talking about the wrong car I know. Remote change sounds good. If the gearbox checks out I'll bolt it up to the bottom of my original motor. This car also has a fairly solid looking rocker cover so once I clean it up should make the top of my motor look a hell of a lot better.

That's not the worst mini I have seen. When I got my K van (which is now a ute) the front subfame had been out for 6 months and it'd been left on the front lawn. Needless to say I left the majority of the floor on their lawn. Parts always help a project good to see them go to something, but it's a shame they get that bad

Dude the clubbie was so bad I had to take the motor out of it chocked up enough to undo the underneath. The hoist arms went through the panels like a cheese cutter as soon as the floor gave in.....
Anyways, I have obviously put the images up now.
Cheers

Looks like a Morris Mini Deluxe to me by "Sophie's" rear boot lid.

I took it for a drive around our work yard today. Engine runs pretty good considering its been sitting for years. No idea what I am going to do with it. It does look like a deluxe however the speedo and heater arrangement are all original, plus the door handles are clubman. The tail lights look odd too, never seen those before. If I flog this off on Ebay would I get 500 for it?
Oh and the colour of it under all that ouse paint is a yellow mustard colour.
Cheers,
Damo

If it was a Cooper wouldn't the speedo read 120 MPH or whatever it is?
I started cleaning the paint off the front badge today, as far as I can see its just the Morris bull.
