I got my van body home last week and started to have a good look at it. Apart from surface rust it looks great. No dings and no rust in the panels. It may be brand new but I thought it may have rusted in some of the seams but all seems ok. What is missing though, is the bracket that holds the rear door stop on the passenger's side. This welds on in the upper corner of the door opening. They must have had a shortage on the line the day this one was produced! So much for quality control. If anyone can help me or let me know where any wrecks are in the Sydney region I would appreciate it. BTW how much fuel does the tank hold on the vans?

Hi Chris

Are you talking about the stoppers or the bracket on the shell.

Good Luck with it, I have only just found a set of stoppers :?

The welded bracket on the shell. It has two spring steel pieces in it for the stopper to travel through.

I've got the bit that goes on the doors. If its too hard to find I'll make it. Its only a half round bit of plate with the springs in it. It would just be a lot easier to find the proper thing. If anyone knows of a wrecked van will they let me know. There are a few bits I wouldn't mind getting a few bits like the rear electrical harness, battery cables, etc.

I'll be lucky to make it to Goulburn from Wollongong. I can see an auxilary tank going in this thing. Might even make two small ones plus the main. There will be fuel lines everwhere.

Makka this one is a 1330 with the usual bits and will be loaded and towing a trailer with a kart on it. Its a bloody long hill from the Pheasants Nest bridge south to the Mittagong exit. A standard one is definitly an economical vehicle as you say. It will be very interesting to see just how thirsty it will be.
