A guy at work told me that a friend of his has a mini which has had a respray for sale. The car has no engine, gearbox or interior. Basically a rolling shell with speedo, handbrake, petrol tank, steering column, all glass and stocky wheels.
Don't know if it's a Mini Clubman or Mini morris.
Just wondering what you would pay?

Depends who did the job.
For example, if it was done by a pro and had documented progress where you could rust repaired, etc, I'd pay up to maybe 3k.

However, if done by a backyardie on the cheap with no evidence, perhaps a grand tops.
:D

I'd offer as little as possible until he accepts

I am going to look at it tomorrow. The car is said to be rust free! But when people mean rust free, the rust is usually covered with bog and fibreglass. I know the normal places where rust would be but I am taking my boss and a large magnet. My boss knows alot about panel beating and spray painting as his worked in the industry for 47 years painting anything and everything that can be painted.

Small magnet is better than a large one - think about it
