Hey im sure that this question has been asked before, but ive searched and I couldnt find anything. Im getting lcb extractors from either minisport or brikworx.
To use the same carb I need to cut the existing one off from the exhaust manifold. When I do this how will the it hold on? It doesnt have any holes for screws on it....

Well...
Some people put them on, line up by eye, tighten and hope for the best.
I weld up the outer ends of the flanges with MIG, and then file to fit on the studs for location.
I used to braze them up, then found that MIG onto cast iron works well enough for this, and yes, you can still file it. 8)

they use the big thick flat washers, standard on that manifold.
I weld onto the ends of the flanges that are there, make em longer Then file a 1/2 round groove.

Check the thickness of the extractor flanges and the manifold. If different, make 4 stepped washers. I MIG on 1 side on the thick washer, then grind or mill it to the step thickness I want.

you line it up with the top of the manifold gasket, works every time.

Rough as guts... and after gasket settles, it can drop.
How about L-R then.

I've seen 1/4" difference in between gasket brands for the top of the hole in relation to the top of the gasket , make sure you check where the gasket falls on the head and the manifold before you try the dodgy R us approach .

Spaceboy you don't have to worry, SC12 kit's manifold fits itself pretty well and was the same thickness as my lcb flanges. Great I reckon.
