haven't been to the dyno, engine setup is finally done, hasn't been run yet (did run it but due to a bad induction leak, i had to dissassemble it) as I have been banned from working on my car. I got a bad flu or something, have a year 12 maths test on tuesday and need to recover!

If I got a lower reading I'd be pissed off! But I can't see why that would happen....?

Hmmm.... well then..... there were some rumors flying around... :?

It is possible to have an engine SO out of tune after an upgrade that the power drops off.....

its back, 1360cc's
running naturally aspirated with a single hs4

had an issue where it was running like crap, but i think it was because it was on crappy fuel, after filling up my tank with fresh fuel it has come good...

there is huge cam lag but once the cam comes on the engine is explosively fast. It kicks like a turbo.. and as the revs rise the engine note changes dramatically..

i accidentally broke a part of the printed circuitboard on the guages so my tacho doesnt work atmo :?

but i was pleasantly surprised to find my 120mph GT speedo seems to be indicating the correct speed 8)

i have a ben afford supercharger kit and an sc-12 which i got for $150 ready to fit, and i have only to run the motor in fully before fitting..

However i was bankrupted by the cost of the engine itself, so i have no money to fit the s/c kit.

The cost of the engine build was approx $2300 but all the added extras such as an oil cooler, 2 core radiator, ARP rod bolts and head studs and rooting around to get the correct compression because the pistons were the incorrect ratio has cost me dramatically.

other plans i had which included a respray and interior will have to wait

i was more relieved than happy to get my car back, the finances of the build have caused me a huge amount of stress,
but i can say my dream mini is well on its way to becoming a reality.
