Not a good Day today...Recieved my delivery of gaskets from my normal source this morning Late and then missing the Manifolt gasket :twisted:

So i'll do the rest untill it arrives.... :?

Torqe it up in 5's to 40 and then 2's...all hunky dorry. just one seemed to be going a little further... :? 46 and that same one went snap...I now have a hole in a door also luck I did not brake my hand this time :lol:
I think I'll go for a swim and cool off :twisted: :cry:

Go down to Lee Bros in Dunlop St, Nth Parramatta and take a good bolt with you. You want Grade 8, 3/8" UNC x wharever the length is.
Or, chuck `em all away and fit studs & nuts (better). :wink:
You can pinch all the ones from your other 998? motor. :P
If you do this, only use 40-42lb/ft torque.

I put a hole in a door for this

sprayed a little WB40 on it and she just unwound..go figure. I'll be poping down to Lee's tomorrow and getting a hole new set of bolts.

Boy am I lucky...not so angry now 8)

Mini door or internal hollow door?

Hollow Door I was wonderingwhat you were on about.. :lol: Mate I have a number of door I have not repaired yet (left from previous owners) Yer Antons goo d at the internal repairs but I can't affort the insurance for his hands :lol:

Doc I'm going to take both sets down with me just incase they can not do the other.....I have an inteview in the city so the bolt and all are comeing with me..LOL...Just so relieved no motor has to come out 8)

Do what Doc says and put studs and nuts on it. The bolts are to long and eventually twist and break. The nut/stud arrangement will not do that.

Yeah, I like studs too! Stock Mini ones are OK, but if U got money to burn, buy ARPs. 8)
