Just want to say that refitting a fuel tank is a sh!t of a job.

I fitted mine this evening, then realised I hadn't connected my tail light wires.....out it comes to connect then, then back in again.

At least I finally got to fit my bling bling Aston Filler Cap which I scored at a boot sale a while back. It looks mad! 8)

 @ willy....

One thing I did discover was that the very late Clubbies (77 and 78) have a larger fuel line outlet on the tank. I was fitting a tank from a 77 and it isn't 3/16 diameter like the original tank was (76 model).

I think I might go take some piccies...I can't sleep tonight.

I've tried 3 times to get my tank back in but it's still not sitting right - whats the trick? The neck is not centred in the hole and I can't get the grommet back in
