mate of mine is something like 6 feet and a half, built like a brick crap house and longs for getting another Mini - drives a "family car" at the moment with little kids in little seats in the back - hmmm

You will be fine. More room in a Mini than in Jap buzzboxes..
If you want more legroom get some extender brackets, or aftermarket seats. 8)

CAREFULLY lower the Steering Column at the same time you set your seats right back....or use aftermarket seats like the Doc suggested.

I have a Video of a Mini nut/personality in UK who is 7' 6" and loves Minis!

Go for it....maybe try out one already set up for another taller person?.... 8)

Meant to add, get yourself a smaller diameter steering wheel than the Bus Drivers original....to go with your lowered column and set back seats......watch out for the seat belt mountings though....seat too far back and you might as well not have em....look into full harnesses!! (whats that word all you young whipper snappers are using ..Bling!!!!????)

Well for comparison I've got an EF Fairmont and my head touches the roof (gotta keep the seat angled back a bit to make room) but in the mini I've got plenty of room. Space in the mini is only a problem if you want to fit a few extra people in there but for one or two like all the others have said you'll be fine
