This may have been asked before but which is better Webber/Dellorto or Su as I have picked up a Webber on the deluxe I got and was thinking about putting it on My 1380. Will it give it better low down torque I know it will have better top end I currently have a 1.75 HIF SU

Short answer= NO.
But it will gurgle better than the SU..

Don't forget that after you have your weber jetted correctly you don't have to tune it again. Unlike Su's where you are constantly fiddling...

If you chose to put your weber on i know a guy at Mortdale who is excellent at setting up webers, he did my big stroker motor & its proved flawless in motorsport, i'll forward he's details if you go with the weber.

Not in my experience. As David vizard once observed......if the SU had been Made in Italy no one would buy a Weber......or words to that effect. They definitly are affected by weather and are most probably more sensitive than SU's in this regard, iif the ultimate performance is required. They make a nice noise though. On other cars where the installation is less compromised then they do have an advantage.

i was told
that webers n dells
throw so much fuel into your second and third cylinders that they eventually screw up those cylinders
dont kow how true this is

go with your choice, both setups can perform very well, especially a properly set up hif44 (or hif38)

well As u know my HIF is a Hybrid of HS and HIF and now that I did that it works quite well and has more tourqe then it had before

Well the Dellorto hasn't screwed mine up yet, and it's done over 45,000 fast MILES since rebuild
Depends on the manifold (don't use a Lynx or other swan neck) and how you jet it. Years back I had a Weber 45 for a while and swore I'd never use another, but later I found it wasn't jetted properly.

i always though they do something not necessarily good in the long run
