hey everyone, I recently replaced my front brake hoses (the rubber ones) with braided ones. When I went to bleed the system the front passenger side doesn't seem to bleed properly. It spits out really frothy brake fluid in small amounts, whilst the other wheels streamed out with clean fluid. Any ideas? Maybe I just need to persist with it and keep bleeding.

Had that problem myself - The good Doctor in another thread mentioned that the new hoses aren't as deep and the threads bottom out. The drivers side needs an extra copper washer under the joiner that has the brake light switch on top and the flex hose in the bottom.

Air is thinner than brake fluid so it can suck air and not leak fluid if the gap is fine

The line to the passenger side comes off the joiner. Probably fluid dynamics :wink:

cheers wombat, your a champ. Another quick one, if i losen that screw, will i have to bleed the other wheels again? ie will it let air into the system?

I bought a 1 man brake bleeding kit from the Warehouse for $3.45... Its actually the exact same item that i saw in Autobarn for $19.95. Just different packaging.

It makes bleeding brakes very easy!!!
