Just a reminder that the Goulburn Swap Meet is on this Sunday. It is at the Goulburn Showground on Braidwood road.

Get in early and bring a jumper.

Dont forget the Rylstone swap meet May 20th at Rylstone Showground. Bring a coat as well as a jumper.

I am co-organising it and would love to see some of you.

$5 to sell - $2 to view - last year well over 200 sellers.

Yes some mini stuff every year.

Some years there is a lot of BMC stuff but the last couple it has been thin pickings.
Still it is worth it just for a look.

Well the swap meet has come and gone for another year. Quite good but not great. I only spent $11.50 and got 4 items. :D

Mini stuff seen at the meet...
4 Clubman type doors
1 Clubman bonnet
about 5 Clubman griles
1 1100 Motor (no box)
about 20 SU carbies (3 x 1½ Mini. 3 x 1¼ Mini. 1 set Twin 1¼ Mini)
VH44 brake boosters (reco)
Mini 850 grille
Mini Deluxe grille x 2
Rubber uni joint (new)
Heap of assorted taillight lenses.

Yepp - I think it is just the same stuff they try and flog every year. I again walked away with fruit and veg and a brake booster- not really worth the time there but it is good to get up and be out at 7am...lol.

The fellow selling the brake boosters has to be the rudest MOD EDIT I have ever talked to. Asked him how much for one of his units and he said "make an offer...", I did and then he proceeded to tell me I was dreaming and his were worth more than that. Went back with the unit I bought, with a full rebuild kit, and was still under the so-called cheap price for his well used and rusty unit. Waved it in front of his envious face and walked off with my pumpkin..his loss...lmao. Pissed him off at the Queanbeyan meet too from memory - what a goat.

The rotary club again put on a hummdinger of a sausage sizzle and a coffee...not bad for brekky.

I was the bloke selling the boosters.

Just kidding! :D
I only saw the bloke with the reconditioned boosters, I didnt see any rusty ones.
You are right about the blokes selling the same bits every year. My Uncle was selling some Holden bits, the same Holden bits he was selling last year.

Ahhh yes but at least the vegies are a constant...lmao

Felt a million bucks this morning - was cold, sun in my face and stuffed it with a snag and washed it down with a brew...then drove to Berry because I could and dropped off my seat to the buyer at sutton - big day all round. Looking forward to it again next year

I would like to see the Rylstone swap meet.
If you go to Rylstone don't forget to visit Kandos and see one of the finest collections of fibro houses outside of Western Sydney.

LMAO - I live in a fibro house in Queanbeyan...well we should make a day of it then. Apparently there are caves and everything up there.

Hahahaha - good one Mick...its all god as I have already done the rebuild on the brake booster(considering I got home at 1600...lol)so now just have to fit the bastard...
