I was reading about the water pumps and stuff in another thread, and i was thinking where is the temp on my guage supposed to be?
It normally sits 1/3 of the way up most days but lately with the hot weather 30+deg it's been hovering on 1/2 and sneaks up to 2/3 if you stay at 100km/h for a while.
Does this sound normal or is it getting a bit hot? I'm just a bit worried as it never used to go over 1/3 of the way up even when giving it a big blast (well 998 style) up around the hilly bits out the back of canberra

Not panicking just yet just not used to seeing it above halfway.
I live in Canberra you see so 10 out of 12 months the mercury don't go above 20, and some mornings it is a struggle to get over the bottom line

Driving from Adelaide to Rockhampton in QLD the temp on mine never went higher than 85c the entire way, no matter how hard I pushed it or if there was traffic.

Mine sits at "N" even on the hottest of days. Only when moving though. Sitting idling when hot, on a warm to hot day makes it go 4/5's (highest i've seen it) the way up, but goes fine once there is some air moving through. Maybe I need a thermo fan?

My clubbie C N H usually sits mid. Only goes to 2/3 of the way up when hot and stuck in traffic. I hate peak hour!
