There is two versions of it - the best one is the one with the original actors, directors and producers talking about how they made it. Its on an extra disc in the pack.

Failing that I would happily "lend" anyone a copy of that disc but would need to cover costs - pm me for costs.

And another one again with all the extra stuff (deleted scene in the ice rink included) on the one disc with the movie , they seemed to fall victim of their own hype for re-re-releasing it .

Just like those who have music on LP's that they want on their MP3 players (or just on CD - or, like me, cassettes they want on MP3 without paying for it all again - CD's arrived late in my house post 2000), I have The Italian Job on VHS, but have no VCR... :(
I've got access to computers with recording capabilities (even easier, they have TV Tuners), but no VCR to plug into them!

Do a crawl around the garage sales - you will pick up a VCR for around $10 that works.

You can pick up a new VCR/DVD combo player and recorder for around $150 but a DVD recoder with a hard disk is much more.

I should just bug some friends, and see if any of them have stereo VCRs that i could borrow... Or I should go to the new Big W down the road and see if they've got it. When I bought the VHS, it was $40 for a DVD! The tape's only been played once, maybe twice...
I wouldn't bother with a DVD HDD recorder - not when I can buy a Tuner card for a PC for under $100, and a Dual Layer DVD burner for about the same money. Does the same thing. And I've never had reliability issues with either of the two tuners in my computers...

Aldi have VCRs in this week's specials for about $60 or $70 and in next week's specials they've got a combo VCR/DVD for $140

Anyone around Ipswich that wants a copy, there were a few at JB HiFi at the new Riverlink shopping centre. I took one. :D
Thought we'd take a drive out and see what it looks like... About time Ipswich got something close to a decent shopping centre! Although it felt a bit roughly finished... :?
