Cush, Go the 850! have a look through your bits though, and make sure you pick a later 'thick tail' crank, those coil spring clutches are not worth bothering with either! :lol:

And if you do have any of the older , thin tailed cranks put them to one side wrapped in rags with a good coating of grease , it's getting harder to find a grindable 850 crank , especially since they are getting to be in demand .

8AM block. That's pretty early ay? As 8AM is british? I got an 8Y block in the shed. And it's of a later engine no. than my '64 850.
