bolted to where- there are no rear mounts on a roundnose pre-71 at least.

Just drill the holes and stick a nut on the back. :wink: Pre 70 they didn't think anyone was going to wear belts anyway!

My Morris 1100 from 1966 has the holes in the back but no captive nuts. They were very easy to get to, it would only take the dealer 10 minutes to fit lap belts, a bit longer for lap/sash.

AFAIK seat belts did not become mandatory in ADR rules until 1970/71 so if you have seat belts fitted in a car manufactured prior to this and they need replacing, you can legally drive with them removed. At the time, BMC were one of the few manufacturers providing seatbelts as standard, front only.
