Hi,
I think I had better introduce myself (I have been viewing for a couple of weeks, great forum and really friendly and useful advice). Anyway my minis are a 'Kermit green' '78 998 mini clubman in original condition that I had very little work to do on

and because it was so original I just couldn't bring myself to modify it. This and the fact that it seemed a bit sluggish (I later replaced leads and did the timing and goes a lot better, I should have checked that earlier) I went looking for a mini I could play with and found a red (with white roof) '73 hydro 1275 clubman with a weber 40 DCOE carb and extractors. I have since been doing up the interior and sorting out the engine. Engine was running on 3 cylinders but turned out that it was because the crankcase breather was connected to the inlet manifold (no PCV Valve) causing a huge vacumn leak
I have always loved the look of minis and it was only after looking more seriously that I realised just what a brilliant car they really are.
I hopefully will soon be in Canberra so I should be able to meet up with some of the Canberra members in 2005.
Oh my name is Arrin and I am 25, sorry if this a bit long a post. Oh I am just fitting CooperS brakes $$$ to my Red 1275 as soon as I get the rest of the bits from the wreckers and some CV boots.
