Its an sms type lexicographical shorthand for a smile - denotes a good humoured comment rather than a derogatory one.

Been around for a while and used commonly before the arrival of the emoticons

I think it looks better scruffy, maybe just a little tidy up. I think bling paint etc etc would take some of the charm away if you know what I mean.

Makes me wonder whether I should just whack some doors, a bootlid and a bonnet on, bodge up a quick interior (from a Leyland because nobody cares about Leyland stuff) and whack my engine in and away I go??

:P

(PS. Leyland owners : I really do love you.)

the joy of a mini is driving it, it seems like some of the crappiest looking minis are the ones we love the most and are the most fun :D

You've been spending too much time chewing the fat with willy.

Leave it as it is, it gives it its character. 8)

you could say it's cost neutral...

it costs time and money to repair all that rust..

but it costs nothing to lose all that weight, saving dollars on a metal removal program

still.... the cheesegrater belongs in the kitchen drawer, not in the garage

;)
