Everybody I know that has done a headliner swears they will never do another one! Velour is trickier than vinyl as stretching is more of an issue. If the headliner is second hand, make sure it is clean first, as you will likely find that if you clean it after installing it, you might stretch it (I know, I have done that before.... much worse on Commodore/Falcon velour headliner, they collapse when you touch them!)

you can never have too many metal clips for this job. Forget clothes pegs, they just don't `cut it'.

Oh yea...? Well I don't have ANY metal clips!!!!!! Let's see how I go......

Kev I remember ages ago you told me about someone you know who didn't put sound proofing on their roof and it sounded like a 44 gallon drum when they shut the door. Well I just glued some in there tonight. Thanks for the tip, because I wasn't going to worry.....!

i was dreading this job, but ours turned out great and Im bloody picky when it comes to the detailing (im not happy with anything, but the roof liner is okay).

We used kwik grip, and did it in sections. we started from the back and worked our way forward, doing equals bits on each side. the trick is to have 3 people, makes it a lot easier.

make sure all the rods go back where they came from because they're not all the same :)

its not too hard to do, i really didnt want to know about it at all, but its pretty easy with a few extra hands. (supply the beer, but dont drink too much until its in)

Yeah it's whoever did the one in Barney.. but no way am I taking that sucker out!

I did mine alone... that's why I needed lotsa clips....

You will need clips or something I reckon, to keep it on while you align then glue the edges. If you glue it all first let it tack up and it then touches where it shouldn't, you are in deep doo-doo..

Yep a job that requires a lot of time and patients. I used a sh!t load of brand new pegs... i would do as kev says next time and use metal clips, the clothes pegs arent strong enough. The tricky thing with velour is getting it stretched evenly to prevent creasing. Then re-fitting the windscreen locking strips is just as exciting. good luck
